No More Winter Pests: Simple Trick to Protect Your Belongings

Fall...
lt’s the time of the year of beautiful foliage, stunning sunrises and sunsets and cooler temperatures. We swap out shorts and t-shirts for sweaters and jeans. We rake leaves, pack up the yard stuff, and get ready to hunker down for the winter. While I LOVE summer and live for warm weather and sunshine, I also enjoy snow days, cozy sweaters, hot tea, and snuggling on the couch under a blanket with a good book.

Simple winter pest prevention tips
Camping and boating are two of our favorite things to do in the summer, but there’s a long stretch of time when these things have to sit in the yard over the winter. We ensure they get winterized, so nothing freezes that shouldn’t freeze, but a big concern while they are being stored is small pests looking for a warm, dry place to live and taking up residence in one or both of these. So how do we keep these creatures from deciding to make a home in our belongings?

Ultimate Camping Hack: DIY Bug Spray & Bite Relief

As I write this, we are getting ready to go camping for 12 days!! Camping is one of my favorite things to do in the summer. Each year we take 12-14 days and camp with my family on a lake and spend the entire time kayaking, swimming, playing games and of course, eating.

Growing up we did a lot of camping. My grandparents would take a bunch of the grandkids camping, and we had such a great time. Some of my fondest memories are from our camping trips. Meet Lisa Bailey

Life hands you things you don’t expect sometimes.

When I was 33 years old, I lost my husband to cancer after a 3 ½ year battle.  At the time, I had two small kids and was trying to do it all - homeschooling, run a small business, single parenting, make everything from scratch, eat healthy and take care of myself. I was afraid of stopping. I was afraid of feeling.  I was afraid.

Eventually, my body crashed.  I was grieving deeply, struggling physically, dealing with anxiety, and I didn’t know how to move out of that place.  God orchestrated circumstances and placed people in my life to help me deal with these issues through counseling, moving, and starting fresh.  He opened the door and helped me heal both emotionally and physically, and placed resources in my life that have made a huge difference.

I now feel better than I have in many years and have healed from many things. Grief still shows up, and I have to pull back and work through it, but because I am healthier, it doesn’t consume me. Restoration and healing didn’t happen overnight, but it did happen.

You don’t have to do this alone.  Let me walk this journey with you to hope and wellness.
